Montessori Academy

Our Primary Classrooms are made up of children 3-6 years old, including Kindergarten. These children are developing their social skills and further refining their small motor skills. The multiage classrooms allow the children to collaborate and help each other. The older children become mentors to the younger ones.

In this classroom you will find more advanced Practical Life lessons which refine the small motor skills necessary for handwriting. Language lessons concentrate on learning phonics which leads to reading. Math lessons begin with numeral recognition & quantity and lead to addition, multiplication and subtraction. They study parts of plants and animals in Science, and learn the cultural differences of many countries throughout the world. The Kindergarten Program expands on all of these curriculum areas and is tailored to suit the needs and interests of each child.
