The Montessori Method focuses on teaching for understanding. In a primary classroom (3-6 years), children are presented with concrete Montessori learning materials. This concrete sensorial experience gradually allows the child to form a mental picture of concepts such as how big is a thousand, how many hundreds make up a thousand and what is really going on when we borrow or carry numbers in mathematical operations. Their work with the sandpaper letters and moveable alphabet now form the foundation for reading. They will also work with lessons and gain experience with nouns, articles, adjectives, verbs, perfect handwriting, write stories and so much more.
*Once your child turns 4 years old, we do require them to attend the 5-day program. However we offer a 3-day program for 3-year olds. Please call the office for tuition prices.
